Who I am

I’m Pablo López — Pablopeza on most of the internet. I live in A Coruña, in Galicia, north-west Spain, and I work at Innogando S.L. Outside of work I’m a member of BricoLabs , an A Coruña hackerspace/makerspace where a group of people interested in CAD, electronics and 3D printing meet every week at the Domus museum to build things and help each other get unstuck.

What this blog is about

This is where I write up the projects I actually build, so they exist somewhere other than a folder on my drive. The recurring themes are:

• Robotics — competition robots like the MK6 Line Follower and the Arduino Minisumo MK3 , and the motor-driver boards that go into them.
• 3D printing and design — parts I model and print to fix or replace something, such as the mechanical keyboard spacebar I had to remake from scratch, or the one-hand bottle opener .
• FPV drones — flying and racing tiny whoops, like the Mobula6 session in an empty car park.
• Electronics and small software tools that come out of the above.

Why I write it

Almost everything I know how to build, I learned from other people who took the time to publish their notes, their measurements and — just as usefully — their mistakes. This blog is my way of returning some of that. Each post tries to be the write-up I wish I’d found first: what the problem was, why I solved it the way I did, the numbers that matter, what went wrong, and the STEP / 3MF / STL files so you don’t have to start from a blank sketch.
